In a Felony Burglary Case, Ezra Miller Pleaded Not Guilty and Now Faces Up to 26 Years in Prison!

After entering a not-guilty plea, Ezra Miller, star of The Flash, faces over $2,000 in fines and up to 26 years in prison if found guilty of felony burglary.

Based on reports from Deadline, on October 17 Miller made a remote appearance in the Vermont Superior Court’s criminal division. Miller was arrested on theft charges after he was accused of taking three bottles of wine from a home’s pantry on August 7 in Vermont.

According to Miller’s spokesman, the house belonged to a boyhood friend, and Miller thought he and his mother had gained entry since they smelled rice wine being prepared. “Miller did not comprehend the friend did not want to be buddies anymore,” the representative added.

Miller explained that he has started continuing treatment for his mental health after realizing, “having recently gone through a moment of intense crisis,” that he has multiple mental health problems. Please accept my sincere apologies to everyone I may have alarmed or upset with my previous actions. I will put in the effort required to recover my health, safety, and productivity.

A script for The Flash 2 has reportedly already been written, but it doesn’t guarantee Miller will return; it only means DC is actively plotting out what’s next for the fan-favorite hero.
