Mark Wahlberg doesn’t live in Hollywood anymore. The star of “Uncharted” said he “moved to Nevada” recently to give his family “a better life.” Wahlberg went on Tuesday’s episode of The Talk, where he was asked how he manages to run a business empire and be a good father and husband simultaneously.
“That is the most difficult part,” he said. “Whenever I have free time, I’m at home.”
The 51-year-old Boston native said he wants to build a “state-of-the-art studio” in Nevada and “make this Hollywood 2.0.” Wahlberg also said he wants to open “a shoe factory and a factory for Municipal,” a clothing brand he co-founded with his brother.

“I wish I could work from home. I moved to California many years ago to become an actor, but I’ve only made two movies in all that time. “Wahlberg kept going. “So, to give my kids a better life and help them follow their dreams, whether my daughter is an equestrian, my son is a basketball player, or my younger son is a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.”
Wahlberg has four kids with his wife, Rhea Durham. They have three children at home: sons Michael (16) and Brendan (14) and daughter Grace (12). Ella, their oldest daughter, is 19.
So, Wahlberg said, “we came here to give ourselves a new look and a fresh start for the kids. There are a lot of opportunities here.” “I’m pleased about what’s to come.”
In April, Wahlberg put his Los Angeles home on the market for $87.5 million. His family home is in the posh neighborhood of Beverly Park. The business owner paid $8.25 million for the six-acre property in 2009 and hired architect Richard Landry to build the 12-bedroom, 20-bathroom house.
