Your Honor, a drama series starring and executive produced by Bryan Cranston, who has been nominated for an Oscar and won an Emmy, will debut on Showtime on the date that was just announced (Breaking Bad).
On Friday, December 9, the second and final season of the program will be made available on the Showtime streaming service. The series will then make its debut on-air on Sunday, December 11 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time and Pacific Time.
Your Honor is an American adaptation of the Israeli television series Kvodo, which was developed by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach. It debuted for the first time in August 2021 and tells the story of Michael Desiato, a judge in New Orleans who is held in very high regard by both his colleagues and the local community.
After Desiato’s son is involved in a hit-and-run accident that results in the death of Jimmy Baxter’s (Michael Stuhlbarg), winner of the SAG Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Jimmy Baxter’s kid, Desiato’s life becomes entangled in a web of lies, treachery, and decisions that he cannot make.
The second season of “Your Honor” will have the same number of episodes as the first season, which was ten. Production on the second season is now underway.
Hope Davis (Love Life, American Crime), who plays Gina, the wife of Jimmy Baxter, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The Wire), who stars as Charlie, a local politician, and Michael’s best friend, also star in the series alongside Cranston. Gina is described as “at times even more dangerous and driven than her husband.
“Rosie Perez, who was nominated for both an Oscar and an Emmy for her role in “The Flight Attendant,” will appear as a guest star in the role of Olivia Delmont, described as a “charismatic assistant U.S. Attorney who must manipulate and motivate an unwilling asset in order to bring down a crime organization in New Orleans.”
Emmy winner Margo Martindale (The Americans) will also be appearing in the show. She will play Senator Elizabeth Guthrie, the mother of Desiato’s late wife and one of the final connections he has to his former life.
Amy Landecker, who plays Detective Nancy Costello on “Transparent,” portrays a character who feels that her connection with Desiato has deceived her but refuses to let go until she discovers the truth.
Other cast members include Benjamin Flores Jr. as Eugene Jones, Jimi Stanton as Carlo, Keith Machekanyanga as Little Mo, Andrene Ward-Hammond as Big Mo, and Lilli Kay as Fia Baxter. All of these actors have been promoted to series regulars for Season 2.
Joey Hartstone (The Good Fight), who also acts as an executive producer, is running the show for Season 2 in addition to being the showrunner. Alongside Cranston, other Emmy nominees Robert and Michelle King (The Good Fight, The Good Wife, Evil) and Liz Glotzer (Evil, The Good Fight) are serving as executive producers on the project.
Emmy-nominated producer James Degus (All the Way) is also serving in the same capacity for Moonshot Entertainment, which is executive-producing the series. In addition to Rob Golenberg and Alon Aranya, other executive producers include Ninio, Mashiach, Ram Landes, Ron Eilon, and Danna Stern. CBS Studios and King Size Productions are the two companies responsible for producing the show “Your Honor.”
