Iman and David Bowie shared one of the most iconic love stories in Hollywood; despite the fact that it has been over seven years after Bowie’s passing, the supermodel says she is unable to see herself in a relationship with anyone else. During an interview with Hoda Kotb, Iman discussed her relationship with David Bowie and revealed that she thinks about him “every day and every minute.”
“His name is engraved on a necklace that I’m wearing right now and it has his initials on it… Iman revealed this information on the SiriusXM Today Show Radio program that aired on Wednesday. “I’ve worn it since that first week after David went away,” she said. “I can’t help but think about him often.”
Iman went on to remark that she finds it offensive when people refer to the legendary musician as her “late husband.” The couple tied the knot in 1992.
“Please don’t refer to my hubby as “late.” He is not the late spouse that I had. He is the man I married. She affirmed that he will remain the same forever. “I believe that if you are fortunate enough, you will experience [a love] like that, do you understand what I mean? It’s all down to luck, and I had a lot of it.”
Fans were devastated by David Bowie’s passing in January 2016, which occurred after a private struggle with illness. He was 69 years old. Iman and the English songwriter had one child together, a daughter named Lexie who is now 22 years old. Iman explained that she had always known that her family was her husband’s top priority, despite the fact that he had a renowned profession.
She explained to Kotb that this was “because he always made time and he opted towards the end not to travel… and stay at home.” “He truly, really devoted every attention to the family…. towards the end of his days, he was able to declare, ‘I’ve given them all that I have.”

Kotb questioned Iman if she is interested in “more love,” despite the fact that she has already discovered the love of her life.
“I have never closed myself up to love. I just don’t know whether I’m ready for a relationship of that nature at this time. Iman responded, “Since it’s just been six years, I’m not willing to consider it at this time.” “Sometimes it feels like a blink, and other times it feels like a hundred years.”
Iman says that whenever she views a sunset in upstate New York, she thinks about Bowie and experiences what she calls “the presence of God.”
