In a new interview with The Cut, which was published on Monday, August 29, Meghan Markle disclosed that her husband, Prince Harry, felt that tabloids put a strain on his relationship with his father, Prince Charles.
This information was shared by Meghan Markle. Following the discussion of her own strained relationship with her father Thomas, Meghan, age 41, opened up about how Harry, age 37, felt as if they were in the process of stepping down from their royal duties. She did this after discussing her own strained relationship with her father.
While Meghan did not disclose a great deal of information, she did focus on how the media interfered with Harry’s relationship with Charles, who is 73 years old, as they were leaving the United Kingdom.
“Harry came up to me and told me, ‘I lost my dad in this process.'” She shared her thoughts with The Cut, saying, “It doesn’t have to be the same for them as it was for me, but that’s his decision.”
In a later part of the interview, Meghan said that she is “still recovering” from the encounters she had with the Royal Family; nevertheless, it appears that she is looking to move past these negative events.
“I believe that being able to forgive others is very significant. “It takes a great deal more effort to harbour resentment instead of forgiveness,” she explained.
However, one must put in a great deal of work to forgive. I’ve put in a lot of work, especially considering that I have the freedom to express whatever I want.
At the beginning of June, Meghan and Harry attended the festivities commemorating Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee alongside the rest of the Royal Family. It was an opportunity for her to bond with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s older son Archie, 4, and it is reported that it went “beautifully.”
In addition to celebrating Harry’s grandmother, the event served as an opportunity for her to meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter Lilibet, 1, for the first time. Lilibet is 1 year old.
