Britney Spears Celebrates the Success of Her Duet With Elton John on the Song “Hold Me Closer” While in the Bathtub

“Holy s**!” Britney Spears, who is now 40 years old, yelled out while she was naked in the bathtub on August 26 that her new song “Hold Me Closer,” which she had collaborated on with Elton John, had reached “number one in 40 countries.” The delight of the singer was captured in a video that she uploaded to social media on Friday, less than 24 hours after her and the 75-year-old icon’s duet song was made available on iTunes and Spotify. She also spoke in the video with a British accent, which made the presentation of her message that much more humorous.

As you can see in the thirteen-second snippet that is located above, Britney begins the music video by greeting Sir Elton John before announcing that their song is currently number one on the charts. As we had previously discussed, she then exclaims, “Holy s***,” and continues by saying, “I’m in the tub right now and I’m about to go have the finest day ever, and I hope you’re well.”

Elton shared his own statement after the song was made public, saying, “I am absolutely thrilled to have had the chance to work with Britney Spears; She truly is an icon, one of the all-time great pop stars, and she sounds amazing on this record.” The statement was made after the song was made public. I adore her very much, and I couldn’t be happier with what we’ve accomplished together. In a separate statement, Britney explained, “I was extremely thrilled when the brilliant Sir Elton John asked me to join him on one of his most iconic songs.” We cannot contain our excitement till the fans get to hear it! I am grateful to Elton for giving me this opportunity. I cannot express how appreciative I am that I was given the chance to collaborate with you and your illustrious mind.
