Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas), who was a guest on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, said that the complaints levelled against the FBI and DOJ in the wake of the raid on Mar-a-Lago on August 8 were “absolutely merited.” Jake Tapper was the host of the program.
Marjorie Taylor Greene was put at the top of that list by Tapper, who opened the talk by ticking off instances of aggression that have taken place since the raid.
He humorously referred to Marjorie Taylor Greene as one of Crenshaw’s favourites. In the wake of the raid at Mar-a-Lago, Greene issued a rallying cry for “defunding the FBI,” and other Trump fans quickly aligned themselves behind her thoughts.
“Since then, this week, federal prosecutors have prosecuted a Pennsylvania man after he posted on social media that “If you work for the FBI, you deserve to die.
” Unmistakably, the armed man made an attempt to enter the FBI office in Ohio. There is a Republican candidate for Congress named Carl Paladino who has stated that Attorney General Merrick Garland ought to be put to death. “I’m sure that rhetoric is upsetting to you,” added Tapper before turning the conversation over to Crenshaw.
“Oh sure. Crenshaw remarked that it was insanity. “And that gives the impression that we are radical Democrats, right? If they so choose, Marjorie and AOC can become members of the club that works to defund law enforcement. There is only one per cent of Republicans that are on that train. What we are looking for is accountability. We seek complete openness.
And the criticisms that we are throwing against the FBI and the DOJ are entirely warranted for the most part. It’s not those criticisms that led to a deranged guy attacking an FBI agent, that’s for sure.

“I’m not saying that. Tapper interjected, explaining that he was referring to individuals who advocated murdering FBI agents.
“That is totally unacceptable. But 99 per cent of Republican voters don’t feel that way,” Crenshaw shot back in a fast reply.
“And I’ll tell you what irritates Republicans when you hear that sort of criticism: they feel like they’re being attacked personally,” the speaker said. “And I’ll tell you what frustrates Republicans when you hear that sort of criticism.” ” And let me tell you something that will annoy Democrats whenever they hear criticism of that nature:
The last time I looked, you even had a spokesman for the White House stating that “sure, people should go out and demonstrate in front of the residences of Supreme Court Justices.”
Even after it was brought to light that this put Brett Kavanaugh’s life in danger, the Republicans are still angry that there is a double standard in existence.
