Filming for the third season of Bridgerton has begun, and we can hardly contain our excitement about going back to the realm of sweeping ballgowns and scurrilous court gossip!
The much-anticipated second season of Bridgerton was a huge success this year, and viewers were taken on an emotional rollercoaster as the love triangle that involved Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), Kate (Simone Ashley), and Edwina Sharma played out.
In addition, we watched Penelope Featherington fighting a losing battle to maintain her identity as Lady Whistledown a secret from everyone, all while her best friend Eloise Bridgerton persisted in her investigation into the matter.
Unbelievably, the second season of Bridgerton ended up being even more popular than the first, and the producers of the third season are expecting to even surpass that level of success.
But who will be the buzz of the town in season three, and who will be joining the show as new cast members? Here is everything that we have learned up to this point…
Bridgerton Season 3 Cast
If we are going to concentrate on Penelope and Colin’s story, then it stands to reason that those performers, Nicola Coughlan, and Luke Newton, will be seen again. There is a good chance that Colin’s younger siblings, who have not yet found partners for themselves, will make an appearance as well. Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, is likely going to take a step back after his season, much like Daphne, played by Phoebe Dynevor, and will not make as many appearances as he did during that season.
Naturally, we never stop wishing, hoping, praying, and visualizing — in other words, doing all the things! — that Regé-Jean Page will reprise his role as the handsome Duke of Hastings. But, alas, I don’t think that will happen. However, since nothing has been decided for certain just yet, a girl can still dream. But Simon Ashely is Confirmed Will Back in Bridgerton Season 3
As a result of the fact that Regé-Jean Page played the love interest in the first season and subsequently dropped out of the show, there was some conjecture that Simone Ashley might follow in his footsteps and not continue playing the character of Kate Sharma in the third season. However, Simone revealed to Deadline that she will be returning, adding that Kate and Anthony are “just getting started” in their relationship. OoOoOoOo!

The newest season of the hot period drama Bridgerton, which can be seen on Netflix, is the topic of much discussion at The Ton. However, Eloise Bridgerton and her best friend Penelope Featherington left off on a less blissful note, with Eloise (Claudia Jessie) piecing the puzzle together in the final moments of Season 2 to find that the person behind the column gossiping about the scandals of her family is none other than Penelope.
