When Real Madrid plays German team Eintracht Frankfurt for the 2022 championship in Helsinki, they will try to match the record most UEFA Super Cup titles.
In the annual summer showcase game between the Champions League champion and the Europa League champion, it would be Madrid’s fifth victory overall.

Even though Eintracht Frankfurt struggled in the Bundesliga rankings last season, when they finished in 11th position, they were successful in European competition.

Real Madrid played three elite friendlies prior to the Super Cup, but their La Liga campaign gets underway on Sunday against Almeria.
The team under Carlo Ancelotti had a mixed record in those games, but they ended on a high note by defeating Juventus, a stalwart of the Italian league, 2-0.
USA: In the US, CBS Sports Network (English), Univision, and TUDN (Spanish) will all air the game from Helsinki, Finland’s Olympic Stadium on Wednesday.
On fuboTV, all three channels are streamable.

Lineups and team news for Real Madrid’s matchup with Eintracht Frankfurt
It’s unlikely that Carlo Ancelotti will alter the starting lineup from the previous season for this UEFA Super Cup game.
Due to an extended summer vacation, Karim Benzema missed the first few preseason games. He is now back and prepared to captain the line.
The central defensive midfield position is currently Casemiro’s to lose despite the high-priced arrival of Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.
Tchouameni will have opportunities to shine from the bench, though.
Although Marco Asensio has performed admirably in this summer’s tune-up games and may challenge Federico Valverde for playing time on that flank, the forward gets the start on the right wing as he did in preseason and late last year.
The condition of playmaker Filip Kostic, who was crucial to Eintracht Frankfurt’s victory in Europe last season, has been the main concern this week.
He has been strongly connected with a move to Italian club Juventus, and there are rumours that a contract has already been reached.
He is therefore absent from the Frankfurt team.
With teenage winger Faride Alidou, a 21-year-old Germany youth international who joined this preseason after the expiration of his Hamburg contract, on the bench and ready to impress, Kostic is replaced by German midfielder Christopher Lenz.
Kostic’s long-term successor in playmaking is Mario Gotze, a new member of Frankfurt.
During the current transfer window, the former Germany World Cup champion signed from PSV in the Netherlands, where he spent the previous two seasons reviving his career.
However, despite starting the weekend defeat to Bayern, Gotze starts this game on the bench. Daichi Kamada, a player from Japan, is preferred right away.
If starting striker Rafael Borre struggles, look for 23-year-old Randal Kolo Muani to step up off the bench and have an impact.
