This month, there will be a large gathering of Republicans in South Carolina, and Mike Pompeo, who served as secretary of state during the previous administration, is scheduled to deliver the keynote talk at the event.
Pompeo is presently considering a bid for the White House in 2024, which would put him in direct competition with his immediate predecessor, Donald Trump, who served as President.
Mike Pompeo is scheduled to deliver a lecture on the 22nd of August at the Faith & Freedom BBQ in Anderson, according to the person who is in charge of organising the event, United States Representative Jeff Duncan.

The fundraiser, which benefits Duncan’s campaign, has long been a showcase for potential candidates for the White House, such as the governor of South Dakota, Kristi Noem; the then-Vice President, Mike Pence; Senators Ted Cruz, Joni Ernst, and Marco Rubio; and the governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, who served as the United Nations Ambassador before being elected to her current position as governor.
Duncan, who currently serves as a representative for South Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District, asserts that the event is the single most important annual gathering of Republicans in the state and consistently attracts more than one thousand attendees.
Duncan lauded Mike Pompeo’s “unwavering dedication to America’s first foreign policy and his willingness to face up to foes like China,” stating that Pompeo symbolises service to nation and community before self-interest by noting that he is willing to confront adversaries such as China.
According to Duncan, “Mike Pompeo exemplifies putting one’s duty to one’s country and community above one’s own interests.”
At a fundraising event that was hosted by the Republican Party of South Carolina in 2018, Mr Pompeo was invited to give the event’s keynote address.
The first presidential elections to be held in the Southern states are always held in South Carolina.
A digital advertisement promoting religious liberty was produced by his super PAC in the state of South Carolina and in the state of Iowa, which is another early voting state where he has been making appearances, in the past month.
His super PAC has received more than $6 million in funding.
Former officials of the Trump administration, such as Pompeo and Pence, are making efforts to establish themselves in the state as Trump continues to imply that he would run for president again in 2024.
Following the attack on the United States Capitol that took place on January 6, 2021, Pompeo has maintained cordial relations with his former superior and has continued to defend Trump. Pompeo formerly held the positions of director of the CIA and top diplomat.

Pence has recently paid several visits to the state, the most recent of which was exactly one year ago, during which he delivered his first public address since leaving office.
Pence has also recently delivered several speeches in the state. Already this year, he has delivered commencement addresses at the Christian Columbia International University, spoken at a fundraiser for a crisis pregnancy clinic, and detailed his policy vision for a “post-Roe” society. All of these events have taken place in the United States.
