As is common knowledge, citizens living in various parts of the nation continue to feel the negative consequences of the nation’s persistently high inflation rate. For instance, the cost of gasoline and groceries continues to climb in comparison to the same time last year.
In reaction to the spike in the price of food and fuel, a number of states in the United States have enacted legislation that permit individuals to distribute stimulus cheques or tax refunds in an effort to alleviate the current economic crisis.
The detrimental effects of the nation’s chronically high inflation rate continue to be felt by residents residing in different sections of the country. As an illustration, the price of gasoline and food has continued to go up in comparison to the same point in time the previous year.
Additionally, on July 13th, the government announced that prices for everything, including rent, food, and grocery, are going up.
As a result of the crisis caused by the rising cost of living, several states will offer stimulus cheques in the amount of $1,700 to millions of Americans.
The following is a list of some of the states whose people may be eligible to receive checks for stimulus and rebates:
1. Maine
As a result of the plan that was authorised by Governor Janet Mill, citizens of Maine will receive a stimulus payment of up to $1,700.
Checks of $850 are issued to eligible individuals, while the average family receives $1,700.
For an individual to qualify for this payment, their annual income must be less than $100,000, while household heads and married couples might have an annual income of between $150,000 and $200,000.
The state estimates that those who are eligible will have their checks in hand somewhere around the middle of July.
2. Lowa
People in this state with low incomes will be eligible to receive $1,400 in stimulus cheques through a programme called Direct Assistance.
Those who have been previously disqualified for federal stimulus grants are now eligible for this payment, as are those who have been made food insecure or who have lost their jobs.
