“President Trump, on behalf of all MAGA patriots in America, I would like to thank you for the Supreme Court’s historic victory for white life,” she said to cheers and clapping.
A representative for Miller later informed NBC News that she had misinterpreted the prepared speech and wanted to say “right to life.”
During her time in government and while campaigning, Miller has, however, committed several serious gaffes.
The Chicago Tribune claimed that just days after assuming office in January 2021, constituents demanded her resignation for praising Adolf Hitler in a speech to a conservative women’s club.
“You know, if we don’t win the hearts and minds of our youngsters, it doesn’t matter how many elections we win.
Miller attacked those pushing for gun control in May, following the murder of 19 young children and two instructors in Uvalde, Texas, saying they were “attempting to undermine our society’s essential underpinnings of faith, family, and freedom,” according to the Tribune. We have to revert back to God, she continued.
Regarding “white life,” some conservatives viewed abortion restrictions as a tactic to keep the population of white Americans stable in the face of shifting demographics. It supports the racist “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory, which claims the Democrats and other parties are planning to replace white people with immigrants and people of colour.
In a state primary on Tuesday, Miller will compete against Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.), who has Trump’s support.
Later, a spokesperson for Miller told NBC News that Miller had misunderstood the prepared speech and actually intended to say “right to life.”
Miller has, however, made several grave mistakes both while serving in the government and while running for office.
In just a few days after she took office in January 2021, according to the Chicago Tribune, residents sought her resignation for glorifying Adolf Hitler in a speech to a conservative women’s group.
Miller stated at the time that this is the conflict. Hitler was correct on one point: whoever owns the youth has the future.
Later, she expressed regret but argued that her remarks had been perverted by her adversaries.

In May, after a gunman killed 19 young children and two teachers in Uvalde, Texas, Miller assailed people campaigning for gun safety, claiming they were “attempting to destroy our society’s core foundations of faith, family, and freedom,” according to the Tribune. She continued, “We must return to God.”
As far as “white life” is concerned, some conservatives saw abortion restrictions as a strategy to maintain the number of white Americans in the face of changing demographics. It lends credence to the racist “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory, which asserts that Democrats and others are conspiring to replace whites with people of colour and immigration.
Miller, who has been backed by Trump, will face Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) in a state primary on Tuesday.
