As She Defended Gun Rights, Rep. Lauren Boebert Quipped That Jesus Didn’t Have Enough Ar-15s to Save His Life

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert joked that Jesus Christ didn’t have enough AR-15s to keep him from dying.

She was speaking at a Christian event on Saturday, promoting gun rights.

Her words contradict the Bible’s assertion that Jesus forbade his disciples from using violence.

Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado made a joke about gun rights on Saturday, implying that if Christ had had assault-style guns, he could have avoided his crucifixion.

Robert stated that “small Twitter trolls” often criticise her pro-gun rights attitude by asking if Jesus required an AR-15 at a Christian event hosted by the Charis Christian Center.

“‘Oh, Jesus didn’t need an AR-15,’ they say. ‘Do you think Jesus would have had a lot of AR-15s?’ “she stated “Well, he didn’t have nearly enough to prevent his government from murdering him.”

Some in the audience burst out laughing.

In another pro-gun rights comment, Boebert alluded to the Bible’s first documented homicide, in which Cain, Adam and Eve’s son, murdered his sibling Abel.

“Cancel culture has existed since the dawn of time. Abel was terminated by Cain. It wasn’t with a big, terrifying AR-15, though; it was with a rock “she stated “I don’t believe it’s a gun issue; I believe it’s a heart, a sin issue.”

Christians believe that Jesus died to bore mankind’s sins and that he forbade his disciples from employing violence.

According to the New Testament of the Bible, Jesus consented to be imprisoned by Jewish authorities and killed on Pontius Pilate’s orders. According to the biblical narratives, Jesus did not resist until his death, and at the time of his arrest, he instructed his disciple, Simon Peter, who wanted to protect him, to put down his sword.

Robert also made a contentious remark regarding President Joe Biden at the same conference, saying that she hopes “his days be brief and somebody occupies his post.”

Following a complaint concerning her use of campaign cash, Colorado regulators are investigating Boebert.

Boebert’s representative and the Charis Christian Center did not immediately reply to Insider’s requests for comment.

Robert pointed to the Bible’s first documented homicide, in which Cain, Adam and Eve’s son, murdered his brother, Abel, in another pro-gun rights remark.

“Since the beginning of time, there has been a cancel culture. Cain put an end to Abel’s life. But it wasn’t with a big, scary AR-15; it was with a rock “she declared “I don’t think it’s a gun issue; I think it’s a heart, a sin issue,” says the author.
