Emily in Paris Season 3 Release Date, Cast, Plot, Trailer | All Update!

Emily in Paris has swiftly established itself as a Netflix favorite.

Whether you love it or despise it, you’re watching it, and we’re all waiting for season three to arrive.

After all, the Netflix show’s second season ended on a major cliffhanger, and we’re going to need some answers.

Since 2020, Lily Collins’ character’s search for love and life in the French metropolis has been the ultimate guilty pleasure viewing. After all, who can resist Vogue’s Instagram account, which features photos of the city with more extravagant, vibrant, and wild fashion choices?

(And don’t forget about the procession of attractive guys who have been sweeping Emily off her feet or throwing her into a tailspin.)

So, what’s going to happen next? Everything you need to know is right here…

Emily in Paris Season 3 (2)

When is the third season of Emily in Paris going to be released?

There’s good news! Season three of Emily in Paris has been announced, as has season four.

Is it possible to receive an Ooh La La?

Naturally, this will result in a slew of embarrassing love tales and more than our fair share of dubious fashion statements in the coming years.

On January 10, 2022, Netflix announced the news, little than a month after season two was released.

However, production on the series has yet to begin as of May 2022, with the cast’s normally social-media-savvy cast sharing nothing to hint they are even in the readthrough stage.

Typically, it takes at least seven months for a program like Emily In Paris to get from filming to streaming, with the lack of special effects in post-production slowing up the process.

However, because the program is currently (apparently) in pre-production, it’s difficult to say when it will be published.

Early 2023 is our best guess. In any case, we’ll keep you informed.

Who will be among the cast of Emily in Paris season 3?

The show’s main woman and one of its producers, Lily Collins, will undoubtedly return. What is Emily in Paris without Emily… in Paris, after all?

Furthermore, the influencer’s explorations of the French metropolis would be incomplete without her closest friend Mindy (Ashley Park) at her side to offer guidance or provide the music.

Emily’s will they/won’t they relationship with gourmet chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) is likely to continue, so anticipate Camille (Camille Razat), Emily’s naive love frenemy, to return.

But who else will join her will be largely determined by Emily’s decision at the end of season two.

If she chooses to stay in Paris for her new work, expect to see more Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Julien (Samuel Arnold), and Luc (Bruno Gallery).

If she decides to stay at Savoir, she’ll be joined by a whole new cast of characters, led by Madeline (Kate Walsh), who flew from Chicago to Paris in season two and put the cat among the pigeons.

Then there’s Emily’s handsome British lover, Alfie, to contend with (Lucien Laviscount). While they began as casual lovers, it appeared that Alfie had grown fond of the Chicago native by the end of the series.

Will he be tempted to return to Paris for her on his way back to London? Will she even show up if he does?

What will happen in the third season of Emily in Paris?

Collins is eager to get started on the new episodes, and she already has some ideas about where season three should go (via Collider).

Emily in Paris Season 3 (4)

“If we get to do it, I’d be thrilled to go into season three with any of the two options.” It’s ready for new adventures and new experiences. Emily is shamelessly work-focused, but she’s also a romantic at heart, which I like.

“She can be both. This is one of those meta times where you think to yourself, ‘Okay, where does your heart want you to go?’ I’m not sure. I’m hoping we get to make a decision and watch season three to find out.”

“After season two, she has reasons to choose several doors, and our goal is to figure out which of those doors she will choose and why.” Season three will be about that, according to creator Darren Star.

“One of the questions, when you reside in a foreign place, is, where is your heart?” he continued. “Does it matter where you come from or where you are now?” Emily is going to have a hard time with it as well.”

Season three plots have been on the writer’s and showrunner’s minds for a long, and all roads lead back to a focus on the characters.

“I have some ideas for season three,” Star said (via Collider). “However, in terms of many, many seasons, I believe that with series, your characters get more complicated as you discover new levels to your characters and new storytelling possibilities.” When we have a large ensemble like this, I’m always on the lookout for fresh possibilities in the form of little sprouts that emerge as the characters get more defined. As the novel progresses, this, in a sense, controls the plot.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about the characters.” As an audience and as a writer, the more dimensionalized your characters are, the more you want to know what happens next. For anybody who has lived in a foreign nation as an expatriate, the learning curve of what it means to be it is always fascinating. How do you digest information?

“How can you then adapt to the point where you nearly feel like a native of your new home rather than where you came from?”

Emily in Paris Season 3 (5)

Expect no news of a final season any time soon due to this concentration.

“I don’t believe you want to know where the final endpoint is in a TV series.” Because a movie has a clearly defined beginning, middle, and conclusion, you should know the ending before you begin writing your script.

“If you don’t, you’re going to end up in the weeds.” A TV series, on the other hand, is the polar opposite, in that you want to give your characters as many options as possible.”

And there are a plethora of options.

Emily had to make a huge decision regarding her career’s future at the end of season two. Will she embrace life in Paris or cling to her links to her lucrative job offer in Chicago?

Whatever option she makes, will determine Emily’s future… and whether or not she stays in Paris at all.

It turns out that Paris has had an effect on her, and she is split when Sylvie gives her notice at Savoir, and the rest of the team follows suit. Later, Sylvie invites Emily to join her new team.

Madeline, Emily’s Chicago employer, is anxious to keep Emily on her side as well, telling her she can work her way through the firm and offering her the promotion she’s fought for since before she ever arrived in France.

Emily realizes she’s in love with Gabriel while making this decision, despite her infatuation with British financier Alfie.

Emily in Paris Season 3 (6)

This comes at a good time, as Alfie has just returned to the UK after finishing his employment there (for reasons unrelated to Brexit, we’re informed). Despite the great distance, Alfie is determined to make things work. Will she take a chance on her new love?

At the end of the day, she knows where her heart belongs: with Gabriel. However, it appears that the finding was too little, too late for her blossoming connection with him when she dashed to his residence.

Emily was furious when she realized… after continually asking him to go on and get back with Camille, Emily finally admitted she loved him. Gabriel has moved on and resumed his relationship with Camille.

Emily appears to be pleased, but she’s a terrible liar, and she quickly leaves to have an emotional moment on a bridge while she mulls over her future plans.

She’s shown contacting Sylvie with her response in the last seconds of season two, but the show goes to black before we hear it.

I guess we’ll find out what she says soon enough.

When will the trailer for Emily in Paris season 3 be available?

Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a trailer for season three.

And, given that filming has yet to begin, it appears like we’ll have to wait a long time before we learn anything more.

But don’t worry, we’ll let you know all we know as soon as we find out – and we’re confident it’ll be spectacular.

Emily in Paris is currently accessible on Netflix.
