Christian Wood Is Heading to Brooklyn as Part of the Nets-rockets Trade

Steve Nash and the Brooklyn Nets had hoped for a better NBA season in 2021-22.

The Covid mandates in New York kicked things off, forcing Kyrie Irving to sit out. The Nets brought him back for road games before the order was lifted in time for the playoffs. This did not change their fate, as the Boston Celtics swept Brooklyn out of the first round.

Brooklyn has made several significant additions to bolster its depth and fight for a championship. Now it’s up to a group led by Irving and Kevin Durant to figure out what they will do next. This team did not appear to be well-rounded during the season, and it will need to continue developing.

The Houston Rockets, on the other hand, are the league’s ultimate rebuilding team. They’ve had one of the poorest records in the last two years and will undoubtedly earn another first-round pick. Houston has moved veterans as a way to retool the roster, but some have made it back.

This offseason, Christian Wood and Eric Gordon come to mind as trade pieces for the squad. If a deal with the Brooklyn Nets is reached, the Rockets will be able to stockpile future assets.
