This Longtime Manager of the Mlb Clubhouse Suffered a Heart Attack!

Following a recent heart attack, a valued member of the Oakland Athletics family is said to be healing nicely.

On Saturday, Steve Vucinich, Oakland’s clubhouse manager for 28 years, underwent an emergency procedure.

Kayla, his daughter, provided additional context for his Twitter update.

She wrote, “Hello everyone,” in her message. Yesterday, my father suffered a heart attack, which necessitated an emergency procedure to remove an extremely large blockage from his arteries.

” Fortunately, he’s made a full recovery and is doing well. Because he’s aware of the symptoms and heeds his body’s warnings, I’m grateful for the fact that he rushed to the hospital.”

“He’s going to have another operation on Tuesday morning to clean up another obstruction,” she said as a follow up. Prayers and positive energy are being requested for my family during this difficult time, so if you can, please do so.<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hi all. Steve Vucinich has been in Oakland for a long time and has seen it all. A peanut vendor hired in 1968, he has worked for the A’s ever since. Overtaking the role of clubhouse manager in 1970.

“Vuc” was one of the most beloved members of the team during the course of his 54 years of service. To the point where his homage was given by renaming the team’s home clubhouse after him when he retired.
