DeSean Jackson is still a beautiful, dang fast athlete, but he may be done flashing his speed on the football field.
That’s because, according to various sources, the former Philadelphia Eagles great, who spent last season with the Rams and then the Raiders, has expressed interest in retiring after 14 seasons in the game.
Jackson reportedly stated, “I’m not sure if I’m going to play (in 2022) or not.” “I know I said I was going to play and announced it, but it’s just where I’m at in my life right now.” It has to be a good match.”
The 35-year-old receiver is 5-foot-10 and weighs 175 pounds. He was a second-round choice of the Eagles in 2008 and has served with the team on two occasions, from 2008 to 2013 and then again from 2019 to 2020.
He’s also played for Washington, Tampa Bay, and the Rams and Raiders last season. Jackson only caught 20 catches in 2021, but he showed he might be a big-play threat with a 22.7 yard per catch average.
If Jackson decides to return, he won’t have a huge market, but he might be able to find a team that could employ him at some point during the season.
And, while he is considering hanging up his cleats, he isn’t ruling out the possibility of returning to the league.
“If the situation calls for it, a great quarterback, not simply a good (quarterback),” Jackson is supposed to have declared.

If Jackson had played his last game, he would have finished his career with 632 receptions for 11,110 yards and 58 touchdowns.
