Since the outbreak of the pandemic, states have distributed emergency food stamps to millions of Americans.
Some states are now providing a bonus for the month of May. When the pandemic began, emergency allotments began to be distributed, and food has become more expensive as a result.
Since then, they’ve been extended numerous times. They were just extended for another 90 days after the previous expiration date, which was set for April 15.
States that are still providing emergency food stamps will be able to do so in May. Families should expect to get a minimum of $95. Nebraska and Tennessee, for example, have completely phased out emergency benefits.
