The Pelicans Upset the NBA’s Best Suns, Tying the Series at One Game Apiece!

The Pelicans stunned the NBA’s greatest team with a 37-point performance from Brandon Ingram.

The young, upstart Pelicans defeated the Phoenix Suns 125-114 in Game 2 of their series, tying the series at 1-1 as the series returns to New Orleans on Friday night.

The Pelicans shocked the team with the best record in the NBA.

They were able to do it in large part due to their scorching hot three-point shooting. From three-point range, the Pelicans were 17 of 31, or just under 55%.

“It’ll be great to return back home and play at Smoothie King in front of our fans,” stated head coach Willie Green.

The Suns played much of the second half without Devin Booker, who scored a career-high 31 points in the first half, while the Pelicans rode a game-high 37 points from Brandon Ingram, who stayed in the game despite twisting his ankle in the third quarter.Phoenix Suns

To lead a balanced attack, C. J. McCollum had 23 points and Herb Jones had 14. The Pelicans won the rebounding battle again, this time by a score of 43-33.

Chris Paul, who had scorched the Pelicans in Game 1, was restricted to 17 points on 5-of-16 shooting. He did, however, have 14 assists.
