Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has encouraged the state legislature to pass legislation to provide another stimulus check. The American Rescue Plan Act, which had a $500 million budget, would pay for this. As a result, this payment would require handing out $2,000 checks to inhabitants of the state.
According to the governor, residents of the state do not have to pick between paying for utilities and gas. They may be able to ensure their success because the form appears to have both the opportunity and the resources to ensure that they are not completely poor. In fact, he would invite the General Assembly to start collaborating on this issue across party lines.
Pennsylvania’s Governor Will Propose Stimulus Check Payments
Last week, Tom Wolf’s office revealed that Democratic leaders in the Senate and House of Representatives had already committed to introducing these bills to support Wolf’s Opportunity Program. Despite Wolf’s demand for a $1.7 billion stimulus check, his administration claims that the state possesses nearly $2 billion in federal ARPA funds currently unaccounted for. If the monies are not used by December 31, 2024, they must be returned to the federal government.

The ARPA funding would give direct payments of around $2,000 to Pennsylvania households earning less than $80,000.
