On Saturday, Ohio State Will Wear “DH” Helmet Decals and Observe a Minute of Quiet in Honor of Dwayne Haskins

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day said that the Buckeyes would commemorate former quarterback Dwayne Haskins in some fashion during Saturday’s annual LifeSports spring game. Still, we didn’t know what that meant until today.

According to an Ohio State spokesman, the Buckeyes plan to pay tribute to Haskins, who died after being struck by a dump truck early Saturday morning on a South Florida roadway, in several ways.

To begin, the team will wear “DH” helmet stickers on the field of play for the game’s duration. Before the national anthem, there will be a moment of silence, followed by a video tribute right before halftime. The Haskins memorial in front of the north rotunda will also be present throughout the game.

 I’m confident we’ll be able to find some more events for the 2022 season. However, there isn’t likely to be a dry eye on Saturday.
