In the Midst of Increasing NBA Interest, an Ex-rival Coach Takes a Savage Shot at Mark Jackson

Mark Jackson has the opportunity to return to the NBA as a coach next season, but it also serves as a reminder of the enemies he created the first time around.

In recent days, former Golden State Warriors head coach Phil Jackson has been linked to a number of NBA coaching openings. Jackson coached the Golden State Warriors from 2011 to 2014, and one of his former teammates weighed in on the speculations surrounding Jackson on Twitter.

George Karl, a retired former Coach of the Year, tweeted, “Perhaps the [Denver] Nuggets could hire @MarkJackson13 for the next several weeks.” “He can then enlist [Andre] Iguodala’s help in gathering information on the Warriors.”

Karl was the Nuggets’ head coach from 2005 to 2013. Karl was eliminated from the playoffs by Jackson and the Warriors in his final season with Denver. Iguodala was with the Nuggets at the time, but he was accused of being a double agent and giving the Warriors information during the series, especially since he joined Golden State the following offseason.

After being dismissed by Golden State in 2014, Jackson now has a chance to return to the NBA for the first time in nine years. Jackson has been linked to a squad that is geographically close to the Warriors and is said to have caught the attention of one NBA great. Karl, on the other hand, feels Jackson will always be a snake, regardless of where he ends up.
