Ali Wong and her entrepreneur husband, Justin Hakuta, are getting divorced, according to People magazine. Wong has done two stand-up specials while pregnant during their eight-year marriage.
They met at a wedding in 2010 while he was attending Harvard Business School, according to People. You may recall that when they met, she declared in her 2016 Netflix special, Baby Cobra, that she “knew he was a catch.” “I was like, Oh my God, I’m going to trap his ass,” she joked.
In San Francisco, Wong and Hakuta married in 2014, and their first daughter, Mari, was born a year later, followed by Nikki in 2017. In her 2019 book, Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets, and Advice for Living Your Best Life, Wong discusses signing a prenuptial agreement.
“Being forced to sign that prenuptial agreement was one of the best things that could have happened to me and my profession,” she said, adding that it gave her “the gift of terror” and spurred her to “earn my own money.”

The divorce is “amicable,” according to a source, and Wong and Hakuta “will continue to co-parent lovingly.” It’s the woman who performed two stand-up specials while pregnant who can gracefully manage a new child-rearing arrangement.
