Brady Manek erupted in celebration after the University of North Carolina basketball team’s historic victory over Duke in the Final Four on Saturday night.
Brady Manek didn’t play his finest game of the NCAA Tournament in the Tar Heels’ Final Four victory over the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday night, but that wasn’t going to stop him from celebrating in the way that only he knows how to do.
Following North Carolina’s victory in the NCAA tournament, we’ve seen him perform classic rock in the restroom and reenact an episode of a popular 90s sitcom, among other things.
After the Tar Heels’ 91-87 victory over Duke, which forced head coach Mike Krzyzewski to step down in the manner in which he would have preferred: at the hands of his fiercest opponent, he may have one-upped himself.
“I’m on my way to the SHIP,” Manek wrote in his Instagram post, which included a video of him with the UNC walk-ons playing ping pong.
In fact, it wasn’t just any game of ping-pong, as Manek and his teammates abandoned the standard paddles fairly early in the game and instead used lids, bottles, chairs, banners, a flat-screen TV, and even a human head to compete.
Nothing can be doubted about Brady Manek’s sense of humor, and he’s had enough of them since joining the North Carolina basketball team. In his fifth season as an Oklahoma State University student-athlete, Manek is only on the Tar Heels’ roster for a year, but he’s making the most of his opportunity both on and off the court.
