will come to an end this year, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The show, on the other hand, will not be cancelled entirely. Negotiations with a new partner are now in progress.

In a statement, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Director Kelli Finglass said, “We could never have predicted the outpouring of respect and support from our fans and friends during our 16 seasons on CMT’s Making the Team.” Our brand has had a global influence and the magnificent experiences of incredible performers and colleagues have been incredible to witness.

On and off the field, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders have established themselves as a household name.

The show has been on the air for 16 seasons. It will be interesting to watch where it ends up in the coming months and years.
