Rahsaan Lewis, Ray Lewis’s Son, Has Reportedly Been Arrested

The Kentucky Wildcats football team received some unfortunate news late Tuesday night regarding one of their wide outs.

On Sunday morning, police detained Rahsaan Lewis, the son of NFL icon Ray Lewis. Lewis was accused with driving under the influence, according to a report from Kentucky Sports.

He was charged with driving while inebriated, starting a car improperly from a parked position, and dangerous driving. On Monday, he was arraigned, and a pretrial conference is set for April 22.

Lewis, a senior at the school, was pulled over by a Lexington police officer at 535 S. Upper Street at 2:58 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest citation filed by the city police department. According to the citation, Lewis showed signs of impairment during a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol concentration of .153, nearly double the legal limit.

The University of Kentucky sent a brief statement noting that they are “informed” of the occurrence. The statement added, “We are aware of the event and will continue to follow the situation as it develops.”

Last season, Lewis, a former walk-on wide receiver, appeared in six games for the Wildcats. He had two four-yard receptions and also returned a punt.

He was forced to miss seven games due to a knee injury.

Lewis was spotted by reporters at practise on Tuesday. It’s unclear whether he’ll be punished further by the team.
