The enormous hunt for a 7-year-old who went missing near Orlando ended tragically on Tuesday when his body was discovered in a lake, according to authorities.
Emerson Felix went missing Monday night near his home in Orange County, sparking a major search. However, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday morning that his body had been discovered in the water near his home. “Our detectives are still looking into how this tragedy occurred,” the sheriff’s office wrote on X. “We mourn Emerson’s loss and extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family, his classmates and all who love him.”
