Brad Simpson, 53, was arrested Wednesday in Kendall County on a family violence charge stemming from his wife’s abduction, according to Olmos Park Police. The pair clashed before she went missing on October 6, according to authorities. Suzanne’s mother, Barbara Clark, told News 4 San Antonio on Sunday that she doesn’t believe her daughter is still alive. The Texas Department of Public Safety has released a photo of Suzanne from October 6, when she was wearing a black dress outside The Argyle Club in Alamo Heights, near San Antonio.

“We want people to see the photo and say, ‘I believe we saw her.'”We don’t know if she’s wearing the same clothes or was in distress, but we want the public to see her,” Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas said during a press conference Thursday. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms has filed sealed charges against Brad Simpson because officials were concerned that he would post bond and be released from the Bexar County jail, according to the San Antonio Express-News. Additional information on the indictment was not given.

According to jail records, Brad Simpson was sentenced to the Kendall County Jail on a $1 million bond for each crime, for a total value of $2 million. He was taken to the Bexar County Jail on Thursday.

According to KSAT, if Simpson posts bond on the county charges, he may be transferred to the custody of the United States Marshals. According to the site, he has a bond hearing scheduled for Tuesday before the jail’s auxiliary court. Police continue to look for Suzanne, a 51-year-old real estate agent. Authorities previously revealed two pieces of evidence of interest in the woods, and they recently discovered “possible evidence” inside the Simpson home, Villegas stated on Thursday.

Brad Simpson has been charged with assault inflicting bodily harm, family violence, and unlawful restraint in connection with the incident on Sunday night. Police have attempted to interrogate Brad, but he has been “uncooperative,” Villegas stated. In a Facebook post on Sunday, Suzanne’s brother-in-law noted that the family appreciates law enforcement efforts and that “we will not stop until we find her.” Between ten and eleven p.m. On Sunday, October 6, there was a “disturbance” between the Simpsons at The Argyle, Villegas stated in an earlier press conference televised by WOAI News 4. According to San Antonio Reports, the pair had attended a birthday party.

Police reported the confrontation between the two became physical. Police were informed 24 hours later when Brad reported his 22-year-old wife missing. According to a police report, a neighbor claimed seeing Brad and Suzanne bickering outside his window before the two began physically fighting. The neighbor reported seeing Brad “grabbing her upper torso area to gain control of her body,” and when he stepped outside, he heard screams from a nearby wooded area. “That night, we believe she was in distress.”It’s very suspicious that she’s not going to work and isn’t checking in on her children,” Villegas said Thursday.

Suzanne was last seen on Sunday, October 6, at 11 p.m. on the 500 block of East Olmos in Olmos Park. She stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. The neighbor also informed police that he observed Brad drive away in his pickup truck about one hour later and then return one or two hours later.
