An Arkansas father was arrested after reportedly shooting and killing a guy who was discovered in a car with his missing teenage daughter.
Aaron Spencer, 36. Spencer was arrested on a single preliminary charge of first-degree murder and put into the Lonoke County Detention Center. On October 8, he reported his 14-year-old daughter missing, and deputies from the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office responded to his residence. Meanwhile, according to a news statement from the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office, Spencer tracked down his daughter, who was discovered in a vehicle with Michael Fosler, 67.
A disagreement between the two men deteriorated, and Spencer shot and murdered Fosler, according to authorities. His wife Heather denounced the arrest as “outrageous”. She revealed troubling details in a GiveSendGo campaign, saying that some months ago, their then-13-year-old daughter was “targeted, groomed, and ultimately raped by the boyfriend of a family friend,” who was presumably Fosler. She explained that Fosler had outstanding charges and was supposedly under a “no contact order” but that he contacted the teen while on bond.
“We let the justice system do its work. “The monster who harmed our child was charged quickly but released even faster on a $50,000 bond,” she wrote. “He was awaiting court in December for several felonies to what he did to our child.” The couple reported their daughter missing after being woken up by her dog, which they described as “unusual.”

Heather wrote, “When we realized our teen child was missing, we experienced every parent’s worst fear.” “We frantically searched our home/property and phoned friends, family, and 911. My husband instantly jumped into his truck and went aimlessly hunting for our child.” She said that it was only through “God’s never failing grace” that her husband caught up with Fosler, who supposedly had the underage child in the vehicle. An automobile chase occurred, which eventually culminated in a crash.
“As soon as the predator realized my husband was following him, he ran. The chase resulted in an accident. Aaron was able to save our child’s life, but he was attacked in the process and did what he had to do to protect himself and our little child,” she stated in response to the tragic shooting. “He is now facing an outrageous murder one charge.” “I have no doubt our child would not have come home if my husband hadn’t found her,” she said, referring to Spencer as a military veteran and a “hero.” According to the campaign, Spencer has returned home after posting a $150,000 bond. Sheriff John Staley stated in a press conference that the decision to file charges against Spencer would be made by the Lonoke County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He described the incident as “tragic” and expressed his “thoughts and prayers” for everyone concerned.
