According to officials, 14-year-old Sophya Cherne left her home late on Saturday night and hasn’t returned to her house in Morrill Township off of Partridge Road.

Regarding what she was wearing or her possible whereabouts, nothing is known. Later, it was reported missing by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, which identified it as a “juvenile runaway.”

Cherne weighs about 140 pounds at 5 feet 4 inches.

The sheriff’s office updated their file on Monday by releasing an additional photo of Cherne, stating that the colour of her hair has changed to a lighter brown.

It is advised that people who live near Partridge Road and 63rd and 73rd Streets examine their security footage.

According to officials, the investigation and search are still ongoing. Tuesday morning is scheduled for a concerted search operation. The sheriff’s office stated that no volunteers are required at this time, but a public request will be made in case one is.

The distance between Morrill Township and St. Cloud is roughly 29 miles northeast.
