On Monday morning, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was looking for a nine-year-old child who went missing from Sibley, Missouri.
Liam Smith was located safely, according to the sheriff’s office, a few hours after they requested assistance in finding him.
Smith was last seen by deputies at roughly 6:45 a.m. on Monday near the intersection of Santa Fe Street and North Buckner Tarsney Road, which is less than half a mile east of Sibley’s downtown.
He was characterised as a white 9-year-old child with blue eyes and brown hair. He was on a grey tank top, black or grey shorts and blue/white Converse trainers when he vanished.
He was last seen wading in the Missouri River at 32301 East Atherton Sibley Road, which is close to Homer’s Landing.
