Just one day after a 15-year-old student was shot outside his high school less than a mile away, two teenage boys were shot in broad daylight on Wednesday near a Brooklyn school, according to police.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., shots broke out, hitting the two 17-year-olds close to Avenue J and 82nd Street, which is a short distance from Isaac Bildersee Junior High School in Canarsie, according to the police.
According to police, one of the boys sustained many blows to the leg and torso, while the other youngster was shot in the leg.
The NYPD stated that both were in stable condition after the incident.
According to the police, it’s unknown what caused the carnage.
The incident is the most recent in a run of teenage shootings that have happened close to schools in the Big Apple.
In front of South Shore High School on Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie, a youngster was shot in the right leg on Tuesday, according to the NYPD.
Before the victim fled and passed out close by, another adolescent allegedly opened fire on him.
After being transported to Brookdale University Medical Centre, his condition was noted as stable.
As of Wednesday night, no one has been arrested in either shooting incident.
A 17-year-old teenager was also wounded in the leg last week outside a high school on Staten Island; he is currently in stable condition.
