Early Sunday morning, police officers encircled an apartment complex in Opa-locka. The crime scene tape obstructed the entrance to the Cordoba Courts complex on Northwest 139 Street, near 22 Avenue. Miami-Dade fire and rescue personnel also rushed at 13875 NW 22 Ave.
According to the Opa-Locka Police Department, officers arrived at apartment 262 and discovered an injured male who had been shot. He was in Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Police stated his condition was severe. Homicide detectives were in the vicinity. They asked anyone with information on this or other instances to contact Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers.
