The search for a person who went missing while swimming on Lake Wylie on Sunday has been postponed until evening due to inclement weather.
The York County Sheriff’s Office stated that their lake patrol unit, aerial response unit, and dive team are aiding the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in the search. The search was underway south of the Buster Boyd Bridge. The sheriff’s office announced at 8:40 p.m. that the search would be postponed until the morning due to weather and nighttime conditions.
