For the first time in almost two years, Donald Trump visited Wisconsin on Tuesday night and made false statements about the 2020 race in an attempt to reintroduce himself to the battleground state.
Wisconsin was won by Trump in 2016 but lost by him in 2020. Trump did earn more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016, thanks to increased turnout than four years prior, but he still fell more than 20,000 votes short of Joe Biden’s total.
Trump’s False Claims Persist
In an interview with conservative talk radio host Dan O’Donnell from Milwaukee on Monday, Trump repeated the lie as well.
He declared, “We really performed a lot better than the first time.” As you are aware, we were victorious in Wisconsin the first time. We performed much better the second time, but perhaps it took longer. A great deal of misconduct was discovered. And after the misconduct was discovered, others said, “Well, he did win after all.” O’Donnell did not refute the assertion.
The Trump team declined to provide more information.
Even while Trump keeps spreading conspiracy theories, a number of Republican Party officials and other candidates have stated that they want to move past accusations that the 2020 election was rigged.

Trump’s Alleged Election Scheme: Wisconsin’s Key Role Revealed
Wisconsin was crucial to Trump’s efforts to rig the 2020 election. A lawsuit settlement obtained more than three years after the 2020 election claims that two Trump associate lawyers masterminded a scheme to fabricate documents claiming he won the state using fictitious electors, with the operation starting in Wisconsin.
Similar tactics were used in other significant battleground states.
Top allies have attempted to shift the focus from the previous election to November, despite Trump’s persistent recriminations over it.
Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of President Trump, stated to NBC News that she thinks Republicans are putting 2020 in the “past.”
Lara Trump was just appointed as co-chair of the Republican National Committee. However, the Green Bay event demonstrated how some of Trump’s most ardent base supporters have not yet heard that message.
Mike Lindell, the inventor of MyPillow and one of the most well-known proponents of the hoax that the 2020 election was rigged, energized the crowd around ninety minutes before Trump approached the stage. He repeated the assertion that Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were decided incorrectly.
