Weather Warning: Heartland and Midwest Facing Impending Severe Storms, Tornadoes a Concern

The Midwest and the Heartland are expected to see severe weather, including the possibility of some strong tornadoes, huge hail, and damaging winds.

From Texas to West Virginia, there is a chance of severe thunderstorms on Monday, with Oklahoma to Missouri posing the highest risk of tornadoes.

Tornado Risk from Texas to West Virginia

Tornadoes are a possibility along the Ohio River Valley, which runs from Louisville, Kentucky, to Cincinnati, however the risk is lower there.

Tuesday’s severe weather is expected to center from Mississippi to West Virginia as the storm advances east, with Tennessee to Kentucky having the greatest risk of tornadoes.

Up to Five Inches of Rain Expected from Indiana to Maryland

A flood watch has been issued, extending from Indiana to Maryland, and for the next three days, there is a chance of up to five inches of rain in certain regions.

The remainder of the Northeast will then receive some of the rain.

On Wednesday, the Interstate 95 corridor between Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia will see the most intense rain. Flash floods could occur.

Snow is expected to fall on Wednesday night in inland Pennsylvania, upstate New York, and New England.
