Montana SNAP Benefits Update: April Payments Up to $1,751 Set to Arrive in 14 Days

Montana’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is gearing up to distribute April payments, providing crucial support to eligible households across the state. 

Starting from April 2nd to April 6th, recipients can expect their payments to arrive, with amounts varying based on household size and income.

Clear Eligibility Criteria

For many Montanans, SNAP serves as a lifeline, ensuring access to nutritious food for individuals and families facing financial hardships. 

Eligibility criteria are clear: single-person households must have a net monthly income below $1,215, while larger households, like an eight-person family, cannot exceed $4,214. These thresholds ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most.

The amount of assistance provided corresponds to household size, ranging from $291 per month for single-person households to up to $1,751 per month for eight-person households. Larger families receive additional funds, with $219 added for each additional member beyond eight.
