The search for missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain took a significant turn as Nashville authorities uncovered a crucial clue in the ongoing investigation.
Nashville Police revealed on Sunday that Strain’s bank card was discovered on the embankment between Gay Street and the Cumberland River, near Riverfront Park, amplifying efforts to locate the 22-year-old who vanished while visiting Nashville earlier this month.
Lack of Foul Play Evidence
Strain’s disappearance occurred on Friday, March 8, during a visit to the city’s Broadway area, where he was last seen by friends after being escorted out of Luke Bryan’s bar, Luke’s 32 Bridge.
The trip, intended for a formal event with his Delta Chi fraternity brothers, took a distressing turn, leaving Strain’s family and authorities deeply concerned.
Surveillance footage captured Strain’s solitary movements, depicting him stumbling down a street and later running before falling. Despite extensive searches by foot, drone, and boat, including the use of sonar equipment, authorities have yet to uncover further leads regarding Strain’s whereabouts.

Nashville Supports Riley Strain
The facts behind Strain’s disappearance remain puzzling as there is no indication of foul play or violence. In their unwavering pursuit of answers and his safe return, his family, Nashville Police, and community members continue to stand by him.
As the investigation goes on, more questions arise about what transpired prior to Strain disappearing. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission has opened an inquiry to determine if Strain had received excessive alcohol service before going missing, raising issues with responsible alcohol delivery and customer safety.
In a show of solidarity, TC Restaurant Group, operator of Luke’s 32 Bridge, has pledged cooperation with authorities and provided security camera footage to aid in the search efforts.
Meanwhile, the University of Missouri community, including faculty and Strain’s fraternity, Delta Chi, continues to offer support and hope for his safe return. As the search for Riley Strain enters another day, the collective plea for information grows stronger.
Anyone with information regarding Strain’s whereabouts is urged to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers, as efforts persist to bring closure to his loved ones and reunite him with his family.
