Book Claims Joe Biden Believes in the Importance of ‘Good Sex’ for Marriage

President Joe Biden’s views on marriage, including his candid remarks about the importance of “good sex,” have sparked interest following revelations in a new book, “American Woman – The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden,” authored by New York Times White House correspondent Katie Rogers.

While the book delves into various aspects of the nation’s first ladies, it notably highlights Biden’s 47-year romance with Jill Biden.

Behind Closed Doors

Despite only a few paragraphs dedicated to the topic, the discussion surrounding Biden’s comments has already made waves.

Rogers reveals that President Joe Biden once quipped about his preference for spending time with his wife over pursuing a presidential bid, stating, “I’d rather be at home making love to my wife while my children are asleep.” This sentiment, though unconventional for a politician, underscores Biden’s prioritization of personal relationships over political ambitions.

The book further delves into the intricacies of the Biden marriage, including Joe Biden’s persistence in proposing to Jill, which reportedly took five attempts before she agreed.

Their enduring bond, forged in the aftermath of tragedy following the death of Joe’s first wife, Neilia, and daughter Naomi in a car crash in 1972, speaks to the resilience and strength of their relationship.

Despite the challenges they faced, including the demands of Joe’s political career, Jill remained steadfast in pursuing her professional ambitions as an English teacher at a community college.

As the first lady, she continued to balance her career with her role in the White House, setting a precedent for future first ladies.

Additionally, the book sheds light on the couple’s unique approach to conflict resolution, including the use of text messages to settle disagreements discreetly, a practice they humorously referred to as “fexting.”

Overall, the revelations in “American Woman” offer a deeper understanding of the Biden marriage and the dynamics that have shaped it over nearly five decades, highlighting the importance of love, communication, and mutual respect in maintaining a lasting partnership.
