American Airlines Jetliner Incident Under Investigation After Runway Overshoot

Federal safety authorities have initiated an investigation into a concerning occurrence involving an American Airlines aircraft at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. 

The incident transpired on Saturday night when the plane encountered a braking issue during its landing, causing it to veer off the end of the runway.

Investigation Over American Airlines Incident

As per the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the aircraft exceeded the designated safety zone beyond the runway’s end. 

Fortunately, all 99 passengers and six crew members aboard the Boeing 737-800, which departed from Reagan Washington National Airport near Washington, D.C., emerged unscathed.

In response to inquiries, American Airlines acknowledged the braking problem encountered during landing. 

The airline promptly confirmed that no injuries were sustained by passengers or crew. Following the incident, individuals on board were safely transported to the terminal via bus.

Both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched investigations into the incident. American Airlines has assured its full cooperation with investigative authorities as they probe the circumstances surrounding the mishap.

It’s worth noting that the aircraft involved in the incident was manufactured in 2009 and is a preceding version of the Boeing 737 series, distinct from the newer Max family of planes.
