After considering numerous suggestions from the community, the foundation chose the name “Eve” for the delightful capybara. Matt Dillon, spokesperson for the Zoological Wildlife Foundation, revealed that Eve arrived on Christmas Eve, making the chosen name not only fitting but also sentimental. The decision resonated with a supporter’s suggestion, emphasizing the community’s involvement in naming the viral sensation.

Eve gained international fame through a viral video that captured her morning swim, set to the iconic “Thriller” by Michael Jackson. The 3-month-old rodent appeared to mimic the famous choreography from the classic music video, delighting viewers with its adorable dance moves.
