McDonald’s Cook Claims Pastor Lost His Religion in Deep-Fryer Attack

In a bizarre incident that unfolded at a McDonald’s restaurant in High Point, North Carolina, a pastor found himself on the wrong side of the law after allegedly attempting to fry a McDonald’s employee deep. 

The shocking episode occurred on Thursday when a manager in training, 44-year-old Latoya Gladney, claimed to be facing disrespect from her employees, leading her to call her husband, 56-year-old Dwayne Waden, for assistance. What followed was a violent altercation that resulted in Waden’s arrest and charges of assault.

Assault at McDonald’s Raises Questions 

According to an incident report by Business Insider, the situation escalated when Waden arrived at McDonald’s. He reportedly walked around the counter and, in a disturbing turn of events, placed his hands around the neck of an employee, attempting to push the victim’s head toward a deep fryer. 

The report suggests a physical altercation ensued, with Waden allegedly repeatedly punching the victim in the face until fellow employees managed to intervene.

The victim of the assault suffered notable injuries, including a “large contusion” to his forehead and right eye, as well as scratches on his neck. 

The victim was treated by emergency personnel on the spot, but he chose to have his family take him to a hospital so he could receive additional care. The severity of the injuries underscores the violence and potential danger that unfolded during the incident.

It was discovered that Dwayne Waden is a pastor at Elevated Life International Ministries, as per information gleaned from his Facebook page. His pastoral role and the alleged violent acts are juxtaposed, which has drawn criticism and complicated the story as it is developing.
