The city of San Antonio, Texas, is grappling with the discovery of two bodies inside a vehicle, believed to be those of a missing pregnant teenager and her boyfriend.
San Antonio Chief of Police William McManus addressed the media on Tuesday night, shedding light on what he described as a “very perplexing crime scene.”
Tragic Disappearance
The victims, identified as 18-year-old Savanah Nicole Soto and her boyfriend Matthew Guerra, were reported missing when Soto failed to appear for a scheduled appointment to induce her labor. According to reports from CBS News, Soto was last seen leaving her Leon Valley home around 2 p.m. on Friday.
McManus spoke cautiously to reporters, stating, “Detectives right now are looking at this as a possible murder, but we don’t know for sure.” The complexity of the crime scene has hindered authorities from providing conclusive details about the nature of the incident.
Despite this, there is a strong belief that the bodies found in the vehicle are those of the missing couple.

The tragic discovery took place in a Kia Optima owned by Soto’s boyfriend, and it is estimated that the bodies may have been in the vehicle for up to four days. The uncertainty surrounding the situation has left the community in shock and mourning.
In a poignant interview with KENS5, Soto’s mother, Rachel Soto, shared that her daughter was eagerly anticipating motherhood. “She was thrilled and excited about being a mom,” she said. The family had prepared for the arrival of Soto’s baby boy.
“I pray to God every day, every minute, every second of the day we pray to God to bring her home, to bring her home safely because we need her home, to complete our family again,” expressed Soto’s grandmother, Rachel Soto.
As the investigation unfolds, the community awaits official confirmation from medical examiners while grappling with the devastating loss of two lives and the unanswered questions surrounding the circumstances of their deaths.
