Lukashenko Unveils October Conclusion of Nuclear Weapon Shipments

Speaking at a meeting of a Moscow-led economic bloc in St. Petersburg, President Lukashenko disclosed that the shipments of tactical nuclear weapons were concluded in October.

However, he did not provide specific details regarding the quantity of weapons delivered or their deployment locations.

President Lukashenko has justified the hosting of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus as a deterrent against aggression from Poland, a NATO member.

This move comes amidst Poland’s active support for Ukraine in its struggle against Russia’s invasion.

Poland has offered military, humanitarian, and political backing to Ukraine and has actively participated in international sanctions against both Russia and Belarus.

During the initial days of the war, Russian troops stationed in Belarus reportedly invaded Ukraine from the north. However, there is no evidence to suggest the involvement of Belarusian forces in the conflict.
