Ferrari has announced that they will unveil their 2024 Formula 1 car on Tuesday, 13 February, making them the first team in the F1 circuit to confirm the launch date for the upcoming season.
Team principal Fred Vasseur, expressing his enthusiasm, stated, “The launch will take place on 13 February, the day before Valentine’s Day, and then you will see the rest on the 13th!”
Impressive Third-Place Finish in Fierce Competition
This announcement sets the stage for a thrilling start to the Formula 1 year, with Ferrari aiming to showcase their contender just eight days before the commencement of pre-season testing in Bahrain on Wednesday, 21 February.
The Scuderia’s performance in the 2023 season was marked by a commendable third-place finish in the constructors’ standings. Although they fell just short of Mercedes in second place, the team faced a considerable gap of 454 points behind the dominating Red Bull Racing, who secured the top spot.

Charles Leclerc, a pivotal figure for Ferrari, contributed significantly with six podium finishes throughout the 2023 season. However, despite his consistent presence on the podium, Leclerc has yet to taste the sweetness of a Grand Prix victory since July 2022, adding an element of anticipation for fans and enthusiasts.

Vasseur stated, “We have the same regulations now for three years in a row and you can’t change massively the situation. We have to do a step, and I don’t underestimate the step. We are changing 95% of the components of the car, so perhaps you can consider that a revolution.”
Acknowledging the competitive landscape, Vasseur highlighted the importance of continuous improvement, stating, “Now the expectation will be that we focus on ourselves, we are doing a good step forward, but at the end, it is always a matter of comparison.”
