In a horrifying incident in Ocean City, New Jersey, a 46-year-old man, Jeffrey Surgent, has been charged with murder after he called 911 to confess that he had killed his mother with a knife.
The disturbing details of the crime unfolded when police arrived at Surgent’s apartment, discovering him nude and lying on top of the decapitated body of his mother, identified as 74-year-old Alexandria Surgent.

On Friday around 4 pm, Jeffrey Surgent made a chilling call to 911, admitting to the dispatcher that he had just killed his mother and expressing that he struggled with mental health issues.
When authorities arrived at the scene, they were met with a gruesome sight – Surgent was found naked on top of his mother’s headless body, with her severed head located a few feet away in the hallway.
Surveillance footage captured the horrifying moment when the head was thrown out of the apartment. According to the affidavit obtained by NJ.com, the security footage showed Surgent peeking out from the apartment and later pulling his mother’s body into the hallway. The documents revealed that he lay on top of her until the police arrived.
Subsequent to taking Surgent into custody, he reportedly continued to confess to the crime, alternating between screaming about the incident and singing “Jesus Loves Me.” Jeffrey Surgent faces severe legal repercussions, including charges of murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.
