Authorities in Kentucky have arrested two individuals in connection with the alleged murder of a 4-year-old girl, Chloe Darnel, who was reported missing this week but had not been seen since September.
The discovery of a body, believed to be Chloe’s, has led to the arrest of Brittany Slaughter, 24, and Adam Hayes, 34, both from Williamsburg, Kentucky. In addition to murder charges, the pair faces accusations of abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.

A verified GoFundMe page for Chloe, organized by a family member, provided a contrasting last name spelling compared to the sheriff’s department. Describing Chloe as a “bright happy child” with an “unhappy ending,” the fundraiser revealed that Slaughter is Chloe’s aunt.
As the investigation unfolded, the sheriff’s department announced on Wednesday that it was searching for a red Mitsubishi Lancer that Slaughter was reportedly driving before her and Chloe’s disappearance.
