Texas Woman’s Remains Discovered in Refrigerator, Boyfriend in Custody

The unsettling case of Heather Louise Schwab, a Texas woman whose remains were found in her boyfriend’s refrigerator, has taken a dark turn with shocking revelations. 

Chad Christopher Stevens, the boyfriend, faces mounting charges as details emerge about threats, a potential cover-up, and a timeline that challenges initial statements.

New Leads and Witnesses

Leads in the case emerged on Nov. 3 when Tammra Schwab, Heather’s mother, received information from Stevens’ ex-wife alleging he had killed Heather and buried her in the backyard. 

This prompted a detective to interview the ex-wife and daughter in Oklahoma on Nov. 4, revealing disturbing details about Stevens’ threatening behavior.

Stevens’ daughter disclosed that on Nov. 2, he had threatened her over her pregnancy, even mentioning killing the baby. 

When questioned about Heather’s disappearance, Stevens allegedly responded sarcastically and made unsettling statements about potential legal consequences for hiding a body.

Detectives observed anomalies in Stevens’ backyard, leading to suspicions. A previous assault allegation from another ex-girlfriend, dated January, surfaced, prompting a search warrant executed on Nov. 12.

Stevens was arrested on an assault warrant connected to this incident. During the search, authorities discovered a refrigerator wrapped in plastic, strategically concealed in the kitchen.

In interviews with McKinney police, Stevens admitted to Schwab’s death on July 26, 2022, claiming he placed her body in the refrigerator out of uncertainty. 

Detectives uncovered a previous incident in August, indicating possible discrepancies in Stevens’ timeline. His acknowledgment of multiple altercations and threats raised suspicions about the sincerity of his statements.

Chad Christopher Stevens is currently booked at the Collin County Detention Facility, with a bond set at $150,000. Legal proceedings are underway, and the revelations continue to paint a disturbing picture of a relationship marked by threats, deception, and a tragic end.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities aim to uncover the full extent of Stevens’ actions, shedding light on the circumstances leading to Heather Schwab’s untimely demise.
