Texas Mom Faces Murder Charge in the Case of Her Missing Son Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez

The Texas case of 6-year-old Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, who vanished inexplicably in October 2022, took a terrible turn.

His mother, Cindy Rodriguez-Singh, has now been charged with his murder, marking a tragic milestone in this harrowing case.

Texas Noel’s Mysterious Disappearance

The indictment, which includes charges of capital murder, two counts of injury to a child, and one count of abandoning a child without intent to return, was handed down by a Tarrant County grand jury.

Noel, who had special needs, had last been seen alive shortly after the birth of his twin sisters. However, it wasn’t until March that the authorities were alerted to his disappearance. By that time, Cindy Rodriguez-Singh had already fled to India, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions.

The investigation took a darker turn when cadaver dogs alerted the authorities to human remains in a squalid shack where the family had lived. The shed was not only cluttered with trash but also contained an altar to Santa Muerte, a female cult figure associated with drug cartel members and disapproved of by the Catholic Church.

The Texas case of 6-year-old Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, who vanished inexplicably in October 2022, took a terrible turn.

Noel’s family members revealed the horrifying abuse he endured at the hands of his mother, including food and water deprivation and physical abuse. Cindy Rodriguez-Singh had allegedly believed that her son was possessed by a demon.

When Noel disappeared, she spun a web of lies to explain his absence, falsely claiming he was in Mexico with his biological father or had been sold to a stranger at a local grocery store.

This indictment represents a significant step in the pursuit of justice for young Noel. However, the complexity of the case deepens with Cindy Rodriguez-Singh’s flight to India.

Investigators are hopeful that this development will eventually lead to her return to the United States to face the charges against her. The tragic case highlights the importance of vigilance in cases of child abuse and the pursuit of justice, even when circumstances span international borders.
