House Republicans are intensifying their impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, focusing on the Biden family’s finances.
The focus of their inquiry now turns to the bank records of Hunter Biden and James Biden, the president’s son and brother, respectively.
Targeting Biden Family Bank Records
Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the chairman of the influential House Oversight Committee leading this impeachment probe, announced their intent to request the bank records of Biden’s family members. “We’re going to start with the president’s son and his brother’s bank records,” Comer affirmed.
The Republican party has been honing in on Hunter Biden’s involvement in his family’s international business ventures, particularly the allegations regarding his connections in Ukraine, where he served on the board of the energy company Burisma.
They’ve raised suspicions of a bribery scheme involving Hunter Biden, although no concrete evidence implicating the president himself has surfaced.
